Pokhara roundtable puts survivors at the centre of recovery

Survivors, families, and clinicians met to shape how long-term recovery support is delivered.
Survivors of mountain injuries, their families, and clinicians met in Pokhara to share what recovery really looks like, and what support is missing.
What we heard
- Families need income support, not just medical care, in the months after an injury.
- Mental health support is rarely offered and badly needed.
- Follow-up care must reach people in their home villages.
These priorities will shape the next phase of our recovery programme, starting with a pilot of counselling support in two districts.
